Wearable tech: Innovation function and benefits

What are wearable tech

Wearable technologies are wireless devices that can be worn on the body, such as smartwatches, fitness trackers, and smart clothing.

They function by using microprocessors, sensors, and batteries to grab, process, and send real-time data. These sensors can track physical movement, monitor vital signs such as heart rate, Oxygen levels, stress, and strain on the body, identify biometric patterns, and the data collected is usually sent to smartphones, computers, or cloud systems for further analysis.

Depending on the purpose of the devices, they can support many applications and coach the individual by monitoring health conditions, tracking fitness goals, improving safety and performance in sport, construction, and the military.
